On arrival at the hospital, if you know the patient ward/room you are visiting, signs will point you to the right location. Should you need further assistance, or if you do not know the ward/room number, please go to the Nesmaak Patient Help Desk on arrival at the hospital.
Nesmaak Patient Help Desks are located throughout the hospital, either directly inside the hospital’s front entrance or in the Outpatient Department. Staff at the Patient and Visitors Service Center will be able to escort you to the right destination within the hospital if requested. They can also provide general hospital information and, as needed, assistance in investigating and solving customer service problems.
Patient safety
We ask that all visitors to the hospital practice careful hand washing. If you are ill, please stay away from the hospital as some of our patients do not have the ability to fight off infections. If you currently have, or if you have been around anyone with any of the following symptoms, we suggest that you do not visit:
- Cold, flu or fever
- Measles
- Strep throat
- Chicken pox
- German measles
- Mumps
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Hepatitis
- Skin Rash
Gifts
We welcome and encourage gifts for our patients, but make a few requests to ensure their safety and security. We ask you to not bring any animals or organic materials (including carpets) into the hospital for infection control measures. Flowers are welcome, but we request that the arrangements are kept as small as possible, as they can block entrances and cause a hazard in emergency situations. Our staff should be able to have unrestricted, immediate access to our patients at all times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Smoking restrictions
As per Qatar Law, smoking is prohibited in all public areas including all HMC grounds. All hospitals within the HMC are smoke free. This smoking restriction extends to all staff, patients and visitors. Any person(s) smoking in the hospital or on hospital grounds will be asked by security to immediately cease smoking and a fine may be issued.
Patient Directed Visitation
We have no restrictions on visiting hours, as we believe that the presence of loved ones contributes to early recovery and healing. During your stay at WWRC, you have the authority to decide who can visit you and at what times.
If your health allows, arrangements for overnight stays can be made. Please inform the staff if you would like anyone to stay as your care partner.
Our healthcare team is here to assist you in coordinating and planning your visitation arrangements to ensure a pleasant and supportive experience.
